Faversham Strings restores and repairs string instruments.

Our skill set enables us to ensure your instrument is beautifully cared for and kept in excellent condition so you can continue to enjoy playing. Occasionally we buy old, pre-loved instruments and bring them back to life.

We are a violin workshop based in Faversham, Kent that deals in new and antique violins, violas and cellos. We provide a range of instruments to suit beginner to advanced players. At Faversham Strings we professionally set-up all our carefully selected instruments and pride ourselves on this aspect of our service. We are not a “violin supermarket” and each instrument is a bespoke order which we endeavour to deliver to you promptly; usually within a few days.

As musicians, teachers and instrument repairers we understand that, whether a beginner or advanced player, choosing the correct instrument is very important. That is why we use our expertise to source instruments that we are happy to recommend to our own students’, colleagues, family and loyal customers.

We are happy to discuss rental of instruments to beginners for a nominal monthly charge, at our discretion, please ask us for details. We recognise it is not always easy to know if you or your child will be captivated with learning a new instrument therefore we want to help you make the right decision.
